Procket Networks Extends IPv6 Support

Procket Networks Inc., today announced that it has further enhanced the IPv6 capability of its PRO/8000(TM) Concurrent Services Routers and added new security features with the introduction of PRO/1 Modular Service Environment Software Release 2.4.
The new features include support for PIM-SM Source Specific Multicast (SSM), IPv4/IPv6 output packet filtering, and packet filtering permit accounting for easier characterization of denial of service (DoS) attacks.
