Internet Initiative Japan, one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced that IIJ Media Communications (IIJ-MC), its 50.1% owned subsidiary, releases the official service of full IPv6 compatibility with the IIJ-MC Internet broadcasting services, Media Highway Service and Easy Live Pack.
This is the first Internet broadcasting service in Japan to use the next-generation Internet protocol, IPv6. These services currently support Windows Media and are scheduled to support RealMedia and QuickTime in the near future. There will be no additional charge for IPv6 compatibility.
