NEC has began marketing the IX3010 high-speed access router, which implements hardware-based IP security protocol IPsec for packet-by-packet encryption and authentication.
The latest model in the UNIVERGE IX Series achieves a maximum thruput of 100Mbps. Ideally suited for corporate Internet/IP-VPN solutions, the scalable system can simultaneously connect up to 512 VPN tunnels on a user's central site.
