EU calls for action on deployment of new Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6)

The European IPv6 Task Force has just released its latest report on deployment of the new Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). This includes a call for a number of specific actions to be taken at the European level.
IPv6 is a key technology that is enabling convergence of the Internet with mobile communications, and is an area in which Europe is leading the world. The IPv6 Task Force receives support from IST - part of the 6th framework programme of European research .
