Mr Erkki Liikanen, Member of the European Commission, responsible for Enterprise and the Information Society stressed the importance of Internet protocol IPv6 in Brussels on 16th January. | ||
| Liikanen said: "I am delighted acknowledge the arrival of the next generation of Internet technology. With the deployment of the new Internet Protocol across global research and education networks we are taking a further step to expanding the scope and integration of the Internet into our everyday lives.
