The new N-Series Gold Distributed Forwarding Engine (DFE) modules support high-density, 10/100, 10/100/1000 and 100FX Ethernet interfaces, providing cost-effective and scalable connectivity for network edge deployments. These modules deliver "edge optimized" switching, routing, Quality-of-Service, dynamic and granular policy, security and traffic containment capabilities that are unmatched by competitive solutions.
