The Department of Commerce yesterday formed an IPv6 Task Force -- a recommendation called for in President Bush's National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace. The IPv6 Task Force will be dedicated to examining the security and competitiveness issues related to deploying IPv6.
Wind River supports this announcement since IPv6 is a critical protocol that will power a new era of Internet connectivity. Moreover, as many other countries move to IPv6, it is increasingly necessary for the United States to embrace IPv6 to stay at the forefront of information technology.
