MontaVista® Software, Inc., the leader in embedded Linux® commercialization, today announced that its Carrier Grade Edition (CGE) 5.0 is the first Linux distribution to register compliance with the Linux Foundation’s Carrier Grade Linux (CGL) 4.0 specification for the Cavium Networks OCTEON™ Multicore MIPS64® family of processors.
