Distributed app middleware gains IPv6 support

Real-time Innovations (RTI) has added IPv6 support to its middleware for distributed applications. The company's "Data Distribution Service" middleware can support IPv6 and IPv4 simultaneously, easing adoption as engineers prepare for a mandated switch to IPv6 in "all U.S. Department of Defense networks and applications" starting in 2008, RTI says.
