MIC Reveals Details of FY05 IPv6 Deployment Field Trial

Details on the IPv6 Deployment Field Trial for FY05 were revealed in the announcement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan (MIC) on August 25. The objective of the Trial is to deploy IPv6 in a variety of real life scenarios so that the effects as well as challenges of the transition will be clear. The trial places emphasis on applications and business models, in addition to technical aspects.
